In 1949, Robert Schöttli designed and developed the first visual/acoustic target signaling system with push button control (known as SIgnaling system USter).
The first use of SIUS-Systems in an international event came in 1954 at the World Championships in Caracas.
SIUS-Signaling-Systems were first used in the Olympic Games in Mexico (1968). Since then, SIUS systems have remained the standard for Olympic competition targetry and scoring.
Beginning in 1974, SIUS was the only manufacturer of Infantry and Armor ESD and Automatic Electronic Precision Target Scoring Systems. Currently, SIUS has over 30 years experience in its R&D, Field Testing and in improving accuracy of the ESD and Automatic Electronic Scoring Systems.
Since 1997, SIUS USA has established a reputation of providing quality products and services to meet our customer’s needs specializing in Location of Miss and Hit (LOMAH) technology. Building on its extensive experience in sport and military shooting, SIUS continues to improve its line of electronic scoring systems through exhaustive research and development.
SIUS USA became the sole distributor for civilian and sport shooting targets and scoring systems in 2010.
SIUS USA commissioned our first three ranges for the Canadian Military in Quebec and Alberta in 2012.
In March 2015, SIUS USA assumed control of all SIUS retail sales for both military and civilian markets for the US and Canada.
